Youth Homes of Mid-America’s 18th Annual Golf Classic, held Monday, June 8th, netted over $84,000. The golf outing, which benefited the children and families of YHMA, brought 208 golfers, some traveling from out-of-town to attend the event at Echo Valley Country Club in Norwalk.
Event Sponsors included Sammons Financial Group, Casey’s General Store, Hy-Vee, John Deere, Farm Bureau Financial Services, Burke Corporation, Nationwide, Reynolds & Reynolds Inc, BlueStone Engineering, Star Equipment, Jim & Patty Cownie, Bill & Sue Burke, UBS, and Bob Brown. Additionally, 50 companies, organizations, and individuals were tee-sign sponsors. Many others contributed silent auction items and raffle prizes.
The annual event began in 1998 and over the course of 18 years has generated a combined net income of $717,000 for the organization.
